Sony Mobile Flasher

In many cases, a smartphone's capabilities may be held back by its software. This is why many people choose to jailbrake, root or, in the case of Sony phones, flash their devices. If you prefer to flash a Sony phone yourself, rather than relying on an acquaintance, using Sony Mobile Flasher would be an excellent choice. It places many useful options at your disposal and it gives you the possibility of flashing a device selectively.

Sony Mobile Flasher is free and it is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. Installing the software may take several minutes. Also, the setup file can be downloaded only through a BitTorrent, so you will need a client installed on your computer. The user interface consists of an events log and a series of options, located on a toolbar. When performing a standard flash, it is possible to load specific firmware files and to exclude the phone's boot and kernel. More options are made available in the fastboot mode. Besides choosing a specific system to flash or checking its status, it is also possible to flash or hot-boot the kernel, reboot the device into the system and more.
